I am practicing both in-person and online. I find online equally effective, even though different, as in-person psychotherapy. I use a HIPAA compliant platform called doxy.me and I email patients instructions on its use prior to a first appointment. I use Zoom (also HIPAA compliant) in family psychotherapy. When possible, it’s desirable to have at least one in-person meeting.
Second Avenue Plaza
The office is in downtown Silver Spring in a commercial condominium complex called Second Avenue Plaza. It is two blocks from the Silver Spring Metro. Metered parking is available on Second Avenue and on neighboring streets and the public parking garage between Fenton and Cameron Streets is one block away. The office is handicap accessible by elevator. Because the complex is built in half-levels and wraps around two courtyards, the location of Suite 407 A is not intuitively obvious. I email specific directions when we make an appointment.
